The Picture Works, Nottingham

The Picture Works is a modern 10-storey building in Nottingham City Centre, opposite the train station. The building houses 128 flats, a gym for residents’ use, parking and three commercial units.

Wildheart Residential Management has been managing this block since 2013.

Previously, almost all the flats had been rented as shared units to students. Whilst this suited the former owners, letting to students left the accommodation empty and not producing any income for two months of the year.

The new freeholders were keen to implement a better strategy and not compete in the already saturated student market in Nottingham.

The flats were initially unappealing and drab, and the building had been poorly maintained. Recognising the potential appeal of the central location to professionals working in the city or travelling to other locations in the vicinity, Wildheart worked closely with the new freeholders to transform these flats.

Calling on their trusted network of local trades and suppliers, Wildheart managed the transformation of this building. The Picture Works now comprises vibrant flats and smart communal areas that sell or rent to professionals extremely quickly.
