Wildheart Eastbourne Walk for Charity

On a breezy evening along Eastbourne’s stunning coastline, the Eastbourne team from Wildheart Residential Management Limited, joined by our Property Director, Chris March, proudly took part in the  Starlight Stroll. A heartfelt charity walk in support of  St Wilfrid’s Hospice. 

Opting for the more challenging 10-mile route, our team stumbled joyfully across the finish line, united by a shared purpose: To raise vital funds for a charity that means so much to our local community. Together, we contributed £1,075 to the hospice’s overall fundraising goal of £75,565, joining 1,013 walkers and 55 teams in a powerful show of solidarity. 

Our recent coastal walk was a true showcase of Eastbourne’s beauty — winding past the harbourside homes we proudly manage and offering stunning views all the way to Beachy Head. As the cliffs loomed in the distance, a few teammates began to question their life choices… until flapjacks and fresh energy arrived just in time! 

With spirits high, the team powered through the return leg, crossing the finish line in just three hours. Tired, but triumphant.  

Why Wildheart Walks

St Wilfrid’s Hospice provides compassionate care and support to individuals facing life-limiting illnesses across Eastbourne, Seaford, Hailsham, Uckfield, Heathfield, and surrounding areas.  

This cause is close to all our hearts. Every step we took was in honour of the incredible staff and volunteers who offer comfort, dignity, and support during life’s most vulnerable moments.

Denise Day, Assistant Property Manager, commented:

In August, we rallied to join the Starlight Stroll for our local hospice — and we ambitiously chose the 10-mile route! Despite a few aches and some rain earlier in the day, the evening was full of laughs, scenic views, and a real sense of achievement as we crossed the finish line and received our medals.

And Victoria Ledger, Senior Property Manager, added: 

I’m so proud of the team for completing the challenge, it was a lovely team building opportunity, whilst raising much needed funds for the local hospice. 20 miles next year?

We’re incredibly proud of our Eastbourne team for their dedication and spirit. It was a small price to pay for the immense impact St Wilfrid’s has on our community.
