Wildheart Residential Management strengthens its Senior Management team with the appointment of James Capper as Technical Director.

Building Safety Training at Wildheart

James joins us from a national managing agent, where he was director of building safety and compliance.
A member of both The Property Institute and The Fire Safety Institute, James is a recognised industry expert on building safety and the management of taller buildings, regularly contributing to industry training events.

The Fire Safety Act of 2021 and Building Safety Act of 2022 have raised the bar for building safety and compliance. Bringing in heightened accountability for building owners and managers, these acts make expert direction essential for compliance.

With over a decade of experience in the sector, James is spearheading the training of Wildheart team and property managers in building safety. In-house expertise delivers better value to clients than engaging external contractors.
The focus for James’ training for property managers is on improving the competencies of existing staff by delivering a learning and development program over the next 12 to 18 months.

Commenting on the appointment Wildheart managing director Simon Halls said:

James Capper said that he is excited to be taking up the new role, which gives him the opportunity to spend more time providing specialist advice to clients and being actively involved in projects.

He went on to say that he is happy to be joining the experienced Wildheart team and adding value to the diverse national property portfolio that they already have under management.

James’s move to Wildheart allows him the opportunity to move back to his hometown of Liverpool, based there at Wildheart’s northern office. Wildheart’s location and manageable, well-maintained portfolio afford him the capacity to give the required and deserved focus on building safety to each scheme.
